Gemstone Details:

Topaz can come in many variety of colors, perhaps the most common and most popular are the "Swiss Blue Topaz" and the "London Blue Topaz."  In fact, almost all blue Topaz are actually irradiated to achieve the blue colors.  There is a variety of Topaz that are highly prized by private collectors such as the "Imperial Topaz."  Imperial Topaz is a rich golden color with pink, to pinkish-orange undertones.  The pure white Topaz is used as a substitute for Diamonds.  For Topaz, it is a Birthstone for two months; blue Topaz for the month of December, and the golden (sherry) Topaz is for the month of November.  The mineral hardness of Topaz is an 8, making it ideal for all types of jewelry.
