Gypsum-2: Stone can be scratched by a fingernail.
Calcite-3: Stone can be scratched with a coin.
Fluorite-4: Stone can be scratched by a knife blade.
Apatite-5: Stone can be scratched by a knife blade.
Orthoclase-6: Stone can be scratched by a piece of glass or a knife blade.
Quartz-7: Stone can be scratched by quartz.
Topaz-8: Stone can be scratched by corundum or a diamond.
Corundum-9: Stone can only be scratched by either corundum or a diamond.
Diamond-10: Stone can only be scratched by another diamond.
KEEP IN MIND: Scratch Tests are considered to be a destructive test; only perform this test if you are truly committed.
