Gemstone Details:

One of the most common gemstones in the market.  No two Agates are a like, for it has a countless amount of colors and designs.  Most Agates are translucent to opaque in clarity. Agate is a variety of Quartz, known as Chalcedony (Cal-sed-uh-nee).  In fact, Agate is one of the first gemstones that has been picked up, worked, and adorned by humans since the stone age.  Some varieties can fetch a high price such as that of Chrysoprase (the nickel rich green variety) and the infamous "Ellensburg Blue" (or "E Blue" for short).  Agates can be found worldwide; most famous places such as Botswana, Africa, and Montana, USA. All Chalcedonies has the mineral hardness of 6.5; making it suitable for all types of jewelry.
